Be Careful What You Wish For is a novel that really explores love in a relatable manner. With each chapter you become immense into the lives of JJ and Joy. Unfortunately, when some preventable things happen, you feel the pain each character is going thru. You literally feel like you are in the small Alabama town where some of the story takes place. I highly recommend this book to EVERYONE!!!!!! I think it is something most people have been thru and might help you if you are currently dealing with a relationship issue. Plus, the writing is amazing!! Don’t sleep on this awesome novel.

Being a man and former Navy, I found it very easy to relate to Kelvin and this story. I’m sure there are plenty of men who have had their “encounters” with the Carmen’s of the world, but this one is OFF THE CHAIN!! This was some “Ripley’s Believe It Or Not” type s***!!! I’m not going to give it away, but this book is definitely a page turner and will have you saying “WHAT THA HELL???!!!”. There were times I wanted to throw my cell phone across the room because I couldn’t believe the s*** this broad was doing, and more importantly, I couldn’t believe Kelvin was putting up with it!!! I was like “C’MON KELV WTF!!!” Cunning Persuasions is the perfect title for this book. Hands down my best read of the year. Can’t wait to read the next book by Mr. Key.
